The bluebot device operates exclusively on a 2.4GHz network.
All Wi-Fi routers have a 2.4 GHz band.
Newer routers are often dual-band router, with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
If both of your 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands have the same name (SSID) and password, you should not have any problem connecting to bluebot. During the connection process, bluebot will only display available 2.4GHz networks.
If you have any problems, we suggest contacting your internet service provider.
We recommend at least 2 bars of Wi-Fi signal at your installation location to provide a reliable connection to bluebot. You can easily check your Wi-Fi signal strength at your installation location if you are connected to the network on your phone. Look at the top right corner of your phone for the Wi-Fi signal, or navigate to Wi-Fi networks in your settings to see the signal strength of your available networks. If your Wi-Fi does not reach your installation location, you can simply add an affordable range extender/Wi-Fi repeater. For more information about Wi-Fi range extensions, we recommend this article.
