To rule out the simplest possible reasons, please select the "Bell" notification icon (second icon) on the navigation bar at the bottom of the app. From within "Custom Alerts" you'll see a toggle in the top right corner. Please confirm that the toggle is to the right/on (background is filled with light blue) as this toggle mutes all alerts.
If that was not the issue, confirm that you have created alerts. You will see all created alerts listed. If you do not see any alerts listed, please create your desired type(s) of alerts by pressing the icon of the alert you'd like to set.
